MAGELLAN GPS VEHICLE NAVIGATION SYSTEMS: G.P.S. (Global Positioning System). A device that can virtually guide you to anywhere that you want to go. These units receive data from the U.S. Military satellites (tax payer funded) and this service is FREE to the public. Put one of these baby’s in your car, punch in the address and it will take you practically to the front door, anywhere in the United States. Units come standard with a minimum mapping data base of the 48 continental United States road maps. Prices on these units have dropped $100 since December of 2006 and they are now really affordable. If you travel a lot or simply not good with reading a map or just bad with directions, this is the answer to your problem. Units will plan your trip by shortest distance, quickest route, least use of freeways or most use of freeways base upon your desire. Voice and visual prompts will get you to your destination turn by turn. View the itinerary before you even pull out of the driveway. Ask the unit to find you the nearest restaurant, gas station, service station, hotel or points of interest. These navigational systems are one of the greatest innovations for vehicle travel and safety in many years and now they are affordable to the general public. Come by for a demonstration. Prices currently start out at $279.95.

NEWS

I would like to say a big THANK YOU to all of our customers for making 2006 another great year in business and allowing us to celebrate the 20th anniversary of Moore's Electronics.

The latest news on the radio system for Rockingham County and City of Harrisonburg is that they will be going to an 800 Mhz DIGITAL TRUNKING system. You MUST have a DIGITAL TRUNKING scanner to pick up these conversations. These scanners are very expensive and I am sure for many of you, your days of monitoring public safety in the County of Rockingham and City of Harrisonburg will come to an end. Call us for current pricing and availability. System is projected to be up and running in the summer/fall of 2007. This will have NO effect on the counties of Augusta, Page or Shenandoah.
